Genie Trades

Bot Builds

We turn the trading rules you write into a bot for your own Interactive Brokers account. You bring the rules. We write the code. You decide whether and how to use it.

Not sure your rules are ready? Start with a strategy session or a backtest. Both count toward a build.

Education and software, not financial advice. Trading can lose money. Options can lose 100%.

How a build works

  1. You write the rules. We ask questions until they are exact, and we point out logic errors, such as a stop above the entry. We never say which rules or settings are better.
  2. You sign a spec. It is a written copy of your rules. Nothing is coded before you sign.
  3. We build and test. We write the code for your rules and run a backtest on your own data, with every assumption written down.
  4. Paper trading. The bot runs on an Interactive Brokers paper account for at least 5 trading days. You sign off when you are happy.
  5. Install. We set it up on your own Windows computer while you type your own login. We never hold it.

It trades shares and options on US stocks and ETFs. Day trades only. Every position closes before the market close, and nothing is held overnight. Interactive Brokers only.

Every bot has a daily loss stop, a maximum position size, a kill switch and a paper account gate. Stop and target orders are held at the broker so they stay if your computer drops. You set every limit yourself.

Maintenance, $99 a month. Bug fixes, updates when Interactive Brokers changes something, help with the weekly login approval and a monthly health check. It starts after the 30 days of bug fixes and you can cancel any time. A change to your rules is a separate order, $150 to $400. Add maintenance

Refunds

  • Before you sign the spec, you get a full refund.
  • After you sign it, you get a partial refund that gets smaller at each step: spec signed, strategy built, backtest delivered, installed and paper trading started.
  • Once the paper test passes, there is no refund.
  • If we cannot build your rules, you get a full refund.

The exact amounts are in the Return and Refund Policy, section 9.

What happens after you buy

You get a Start here page on Whop for what you bought. We email you within 1 business day.

Calls are on weekdays after 4:15pm ET, on Google Meet. Builds and backtests start with a short form about your rules. Nothing is built or tested until you sign your rules, and you can cancel for a full refund before that.

What we do not do

  • We never recommend rules, settings, tickers or position size.
  • We never run, watch or adjust your account, and we never hold your login.
  • We never use the Genie Trades Discord alerts as an input to a bot.
  • We never hand you a strategy or say an idea will work. In a session we explain the choices and you pick.
  • We never promise a result. A backtest shows how your rules would have acted on past data. It does not predict what happens next.

FAQ

Do you give me a strategy?

No. You bring the rules. If you have an idea but not exact rules yet, the strategy session explains the common choices side by side and you pick every rule. It's your strategy. We never say which rules or settings are better.

What happens in a strategy session?

A 60 to 75 minute call. We explain how the common entries, stops, exits and contract choices work, without ranking them. You choose, we ask until each rule is exact, and we write your rules up as a spec you sign.

What is in a backtest?

Your rules, plus up to 3 variations you choose, run on past data and shown side by side with every assumption written down. It describes the past only. We do not rank the variations or tell you which to use.

Do the session and the backtest count toward a build?

Yes. The session counts in full toward a backtest or a build, the backtest counts in full toward a build, and the session and backtest together count in full toward a build, if you order within 30 days.

Can you tell me how it will do?

No. We do not know, and nobody honest can tell you. Past results do not predict future ones.

What can it trade?

Shares and options on US stocks and ETFs, through Interactive Brokers only. Day trades only. Every position closes before the market close. No futures, no crypto, nothing held overnight.

How fast does my build start?

Builds start in the order they are paid. You can get a full refund any time before you sign the spec.

Where does it run?

On your own Windows computer or a Windows server you rent. You type your own login. Interactive Brokers asks for a phone approval about once a week, and you do that.

Can it trade the Genie Trades Discord alerts?

No. The bots never take Discord alerts or cards as an input.

Who owns the code?

Your strategy code is yours. The Genie engine underneath is licensed to you for your own account and cannot be resold.

What does it cost to run?

Your own market data, paid to Interactive Brokers, or your own Massive account if you choose it. If you rent one, a Windows server costs about $21 to $26 a month. Maintenance from us is optional at $99 a month.
