Maintenance Plan Terms
These terms are between CryptoGenie LLC, doing business as Genie Trades ("we", "us"), and a buyer of a Bot Build who also buys the optional monthly maintenance plan ("you"). They add to the Bot Build Agreement and the Engine Software License. The monthly fee is shown at checkout.
1. What the plan is
Software support for your Bot. That is all. It is not trading help, not advice, and not a service where we watch or run your Bot.
2. What it covers
- Bug fixes. If your Bot or the Engine does not do what your signed Rules Spec says, we fix it.
- Keeping it working. We update the Engine and your Strategy Module when Interactive Brokers, Windows or one of the code libraries we use changes in a way that breaks them. We supply updates as signed install packages, installed with you over a screen share outside market hours and with no positions open.
- Weekly login help. We can show you how to restart Interactive Brokers' Gateway program and do your weekly login. You type your own login. We do not log in for you.
- Health check. On request we look over the install with you (the "doctor" check and your logs). You can send us a support bundle. The bundle has account numbers and keys removed before it is made.
- Questions about how the software works.
3. What it never covers
- Trading decisions. We do not say whether to trade, what to trade, when to turn the Bot on or off, or what to do about a position.
- Advice of any kind, including about your rules, settings, sizes, tickers or account.
- Setting changes for you. Your trading settings and limits are yours. We show you where they are. We do not change them for you.
- Rule changes. Changing a rule, adding a ticker or an instrument, or building a new strategy is a rule change. It is paid extra, written by you as a new signed version of the Rules Spec. We do not suggest the new rules.
- Running or watching your Bot. We are not on call during market hours. We do not check your trades. We do not monitor your account.
- Problems outside our software: your computer, internet, Broker, data provider, exchanges, Windows, or changes you make yourself.
- Backtests of new or changed rules (a rule change includes the rerun).
- Tax, accounting or legal matters.
- Guaranteed uptime or a guaranteed response time. We reply during business days as soon as we can.
4. What you have to do
- Do your own weekly login.
- Tell us in writing when something stops working, and send a support bundle if we ask.
- Install updates when we offer them, at a time that suits the rules above.
- Keep your own computer, internet and data subscriptions working.
5. Billing and cancelling
The plan renews each month at the fee shown at checkout, until you cancel. Cancel any time from your Whop page. Your plan ends at the end of the month you paid for. We do not refund part months. If a payment fails, support pauses until it is paid.
6. What happens without the plan
Without the plan your Bot keeps running. Updates may stop being available to you, and changes in your Broker's software may break it. You can start the plan again later. We may need to look over the install first.
7. Ending the plan
We may end the plan with 30 days' notice. If we do, we refund the unused part of the month. We may end it right away, with no refund, if you share your Broker login with us, break the Engine Software License, or ask us for advice again after we have said no.
8. Limits on our liability
Our total liability for any claim about maintenance is limited to the maintenance fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. The other limits in the Bot Build Agreement also apply. Wyoming law governs, as in the Bot Build Agreement.
